Ken in the middle

Shall or shall not live in the past?

Who will ever want to be stuck in the middle of a mess ...
... making the right choices and finalizing the absolute decision...

Mardi Gras in Lafayette

Mardi Gras

This year Mardi Gras was teh best! Actually It was my first celebrated Mardi Gras but It was Awesome! It was like cloudy and a chance of raining beads! The rain didn't stop the passion of Lafayette. For those who don't know what Mardi Gras is, let me fill you in real quick.

So basically on 8th March, a parade will be going on where beads and presents are give away when the parade cars pass by. I took a hard hit on my forehead with the beads they thrown, my head felt dizzy and my tears filled up my eyes. It happens when the guy stood next to me grabbed the tail of the beads and the other ends bounce towards me! Still, I get to keep the beads. Yeah!

Oh they also have this delicious King Cake that basically a large piece of doughnut. Choices are original dough, cream cheese and chocolate fills. I'll say go for chocolate-filled King Cake! Somehow, the decorative baby sitting on the cake creeps me out. Whoever that 'ate' the baby had to buy the next King Cake as the tradition goes. (Provided that the person survived the choke!)

The parade was a sight to see, people were dancing to the beats and indulged in every moment of joys. To conclude what Mardi Gras really is, well, It was obviously a plain excuse made up for party and booze. I wish someday I can join the party in New Orleans cuz it was widely celebrate there, which means more party and more booze! LOL.. I had a lot of fun in the parade today, my family and I left the dirty parade routes after 5 hours of craziness and we went home with a big bag of beads and prizes. Of course, a satisfied smile on my face. =)

Will we need a holiday like this? Yes!!!

One Art

After every exams, my brain feels empty..
And so, this is the time where all those crazy emotions step in.
Where all these negativity sources come from?
Sigh..
All I need is a moment of silence, recharge and then brings my chin high up again.
It was a crazy week cramped with formulas and test questions.
I had my first poem reading last week, I did Sonnet 18 that is teh classic love poem.
Why I choose the poem? The world need to spread more love I guess.
One of my classmate performed a poem called 'One Art'..
It was about losing something to a certain degree of significance and you felt the lost.
From losing key to losing estates and finally someone you love..
Now I am trying to think back what I've lost and gained..
Well,I lost my old life and I gain my new life..
Does that ever make sense?
No, life never makes sense but the element of suprise in our lives is what kept us going.
As a matter of fact, nothing suprises me anymore..
Cuz I have nothing to lose to my new life.
I'm like a homeless man who barely recovered from the Hurricane Katrina..
Loses something and never want to own anything precious again..
The sad part about this is that I am wishing everyone a good one but not for myself.
Is there somebody out there who claps for me when the stage light is on?
Or is there someone who laughs dry when I fall?
